I'm happy to see they didn't take your advice and unplug the life support. That is great news.

Please keep him on your lists. It's still unknown at this time if he has any brain activity; it's now more than three weeks post-accident and he's still not awake and still on full life support.
He's had 2 weeks of brain swelling and his heart stopped for 17 minutes at one point earlier on. He's not in any condition where we can say "ok he's coming out of it." We can't relax and let our guard down! Keep him on your lists! He has a 3 year old son and a wife at home. Pray for them too.
You'll shoot your eye out.

Just got the answer to our question. My cousin is brain-dead. His wife refuses to let him go, hoping/praying that God will make the decision, even though a ventilator could keep him breathing for years. I am praying that God will give her the strength to do what needs to be done. I pray that elp remembers to yank that sucker if the doc ever tells her that I am brain-dead. If she doesn't I'll do my best to haunt her. For all intents and purposes, my cousin is already gone. There's no sense sticking his corpse in a nursing home for years. I am obviously heartbroken. I guess our family saw "signs" that we wanted/were hoping to see. I am rejoicing in the knowledge that my cousin gave his life to the Lord just weeks before the accident. We were brothers for all intents and purposes. I will indeed miss him very much.

That is the best news I have heard about the whole situation. I will keep all of your family in our prayers.

I envy him in many ways. He is away from this world and the BS that it brings.
